On 4th May 2023, at Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fishery, there is a forum to promote the rice production and processing in Cuba lead by H.E Maury Hechavarria Bermudez, Vice Minister, Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba accompanied by six delegates from different departments.

During the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Sokha Phnom Penh, Hotel & Residence, the Innovation and Development Investors Association (IDI), represented by Dr. Hor Sereyvath, Chairman of the Board of Directors, signed a Memorandum of Understanding "MoU" with the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) represented by Oknha Chan Sokheang, President of the Cambodia Rice Federation.
CRF would like to say congratulates the International day of Indigenous People on August 09, 2021, by having CRF's president, Oknha Song Saran, in the documentary video "No One is Left Behind", produced by the NGO Forum on Cambodia.

CRF’s president, Oknha Song Saran shared the experience of the implementation regarding rice sector from the private perspective on the integration of the indigenous peoples in Cambodia, specifically on the encouragement the participation of indigenous peoples in the inclusive business model on agriculture.
 In July 2021, Cambodia exported 29,415 tons of milled-rice worth USD 21.18 million, an increase of 3.53% compared to the volume exported in July 2020 or increase of 11.10% compared to export volume in July 2019. Although the issue of container shortage and the high cost of sea freight to EU markets, the market’s conditions have resumed to be back as normal and Cambodia’s rice exports to resume positively, especially for exporters who missed or delayed delivery from first semester.

On July 29, 2021, Oknha Chan Sokheang, Vice President of Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) and also is the Chairman of the Executive Committee in charge of Investment and Finance of CRF, and Mr. Lun Yeng, Secretary General of CRF, welcomed and discussed via online with the senior team of AMK Microfinance Institutions to explore the feasibility of financing for the rice sector, particularly to rice mills and farming communities.

Ms. Kim Sreyroth, CRF’s vice president, and also the Chair of the Access to Market and Trade Promotion Executive Committee of CRF, with other around 15 CRF’s members, participated in the workshop of Cross-Border Trade Facilitation in Cambodia, via video conference.

On July 28-29, 2021, under the support from Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund of the Ministry of Commerce, has organized the online workshop on “Cross-Border Trade Facilitation in Cambodia” via online conference, participated by CRF’s members such as from rice exporters, logistic companies and procurement companies, and also participated by related stakeholders as around 100 participants.

 On July 282021, Oknha Song Saran, President of the CRF, participated as a guest speaker at the Cambodia Agripreneurs Conference within the topic of "Innovation of Agriculture for Sustainable Growth", organized by JCI Entrepreneur Square, co-organized with the CRF and the Cambodian Food Manufacturer Association, under the support of government institutions, private institution, national and international organizations such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, General Department of Agriculture, Khmer Entreprise, Feed Future, USAID, CAVAC, with the total participated of almost 300 people.
 On July 13, 2021, Cambodia Rice Federation organized an Extra-Ordinary Meeting “Adaptation of Economy-Cambodia’s Rice Export in the Context of COVID-19” via Zoom video, highly participated by Oknha Hun Lak, CRF’s Chariman, Oknha Song Saran, CRF’s President, H.E Oknha Dr Executive Advisor of CRF, and CRF’s member who are rice exporters, rice millers, in total around 60 participants.
In the first semester 2021, Cambodia exported the milled-rice to 49 destinations with  the volume 280,450 Metric Ton (MT), and values $ 202.67.

It dropped  29.47% comparing to the same period in 2020, but this volumes of 2021 is almost same as volumes exported in the  first six months of year 2017, 2018 and 2019. (Click here to read and download report in PDF)
Last week, on June 18, 2021, CRF’s president, Oknha Song Saran, has given an interview in the documentary video of a travel-cultural program called “INVITATION AU VOYAGE”, broadcasted by Arte, a well-known french-german channel. The documentary interview took place at the rice field near Kamping Pouy Basin of Battambong Province to feature specifically on rice sector related to Cambodian history.
